{"id":360,"date":"2024-09-18T08:11:35","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T08:11:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipes.thewolfmans.com\/?p=360"},"modified":"2024-09-18T08:29:21","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T08:29:21","slug":"pickled-eggs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes.thewolfmans.com\/?p=360","title":{"rendered":"Pickled Eggs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This is from my grandfather.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>12&nbsp;large&nbsp;hard boiled eggs (peeled)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2(15 ounce) can&nbsp;sliced beets with liquid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;cup&nbsp;white vinegar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4&nbsp;cup&nbsp;white sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2&nbsp;cup&nbsp;water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt to taste, I used approx 1 tbsp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 Apples quartered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 large red onion quartered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the vinegar, sugar and water to a pot and heat until the sugar and salt dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Add eggs, apples, onion, beets with the liquid and the vinegar solution to a large glass jar. The eggs should be fully submerged. If not, you can add additional beets w\/ liquid\/vinegar\/water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let sit in the fridge for at least 4-5 days, better after 2 weeks.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is from my grandfather.
