•3/4 cup liquid (I typically use orange soda but lately, 1/2 cup orange soda + 1/4 cup of tincture)
•1 box (approx 80g) Jell-O gelatin dessert mix, any flavor
•3 1/2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
•1/4 cup corn syrup
•3/4 teaspoon powdered sunflower lecithin
•1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon citric acid, optional
•1/4 teaspoon potassium sorbate solution
•up to 4 tablespoons cannabis infused coconut oil
Bloom the Jell-O and gelatin by placing the liquid in a 1-quart Mason Jar and sprinkling the gelatin and Jell-O over the surface of the liquid. Use a spoon to gently stir just until the gelatins are moistened and let sit for 10 minutes.
When the gelatin has bloomed, add the corn syrup, lecithin, citric acid (if using), potassium sorbate solution, and infused coconut oil to the Mason jar.
Place the jar on a folded towel in a saucepan of simmering water.
Allow the water to simmer, adding water to the pot as needed to keep it as full as possible without the Mason Jar floating, and cook until the gelatin has melted and you have a smooth liquid syrup.
Stir well in order to fully emulsify the oil into the mixture.
Do not whisk or beat the mixture as you want to avoid putting air or bubbles into the mixture, but you nonetheless need to be sure all the ingredients, especially the oil, are evenly incorporated.
Add to molds and put in the refrigerator until set.
