
This is real easy, just takes time. This is also the amounts I use. I don’t recommend using less than an ounce.
2 oz flower decarbed (I use bottom of the bag, bud, leaves and stems)
800ml everclear
Decarb the marijuana, let it cool and add it to a mason jar. Put the mason jar and the bottle of everclear in the freezer for 24 hours. The next day, measure 800 ml of everclear and add it to the mason jar with the decarbed marijuana. Close, shake and put back in the freezer for 2 days, shaking the jar every day. The next day, pull the jar out of the freezer and put it on the counter covered with a towel until the frost is gone. Dry and put in a dark place. Shake every day for the next 3-4 days. Strain out the flower and run the tincture thru a coffee filter.
At this point, my tincture comes to about 34 to 48 mg/tsp. If the tincture is not strong enough, leave it on the counter, uncovered for 4-5 days. The alcohol will evaporate and the tincture will be stronger. I use the TCheck to test my tincture and oils.
This tastes very bad. I use 1-2 tsp with a couple of ounces of orange juice.
***Important Note***. decarbing is necessary. If you do not have a special decarb machine, it can be done in the oven but be VERY careful as you can ruin a lot of flower.
